Originally conceived to be projected on the floor, “Invasion” alludes to battle fields, its planification and the realization of this plan.
It is a work focused on the choreographic movement of the crows, the offensive side of the action is emphasized by the sound and occasionally by the interrupted screen turned black.
I started working on this project with a simple, exercise of collecting images that could suggest an action. The action was found after some recherché on music of Gerick composer Iannis Xanakis, (la legend d’Eer). In this composition I could find contradiction points from were sound and image could coexist without falling into an illustration, but a suggestive act on the metaphysical level.
A clear sunny sky visited by crows gets a gray tonality when associated with the sound, opening up a hypothetic apocalyptic scenario.
