NO SWEAT: TALE OF TWO SHIRT FACTORIES
An educational video comparing two "sweat-free" garment manufacturers in downtown Los Angeles, one union and one non-union: SweatX and American Apparel. Supported by a grant from the UCLA Labor Center and the Institute for Industrial Relations.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
In the fall of 2001, Amie Williams of Bal Maiden Films lent her resources to a new non-profit, partnering with Elizabeth Horne, a former McNeil Lehrer reporter and television producer to form Day, Swing, Grave Productions (DSG). DSG Productions has since worked with various labor unions, the Latino Public Broadcasting Consortium, the UCLA Labor Center and other community non-profits to help develop videos for organizing purposes. It has also launched the first-ever WORKERS FILM SCHOOL, with support from SEIU and the Diane Middleton Foundation, training labor activists to learn how to shoot and edit their own videos.
