This work deals with concepts of posing and acting in the public space, as defenses for the permanent shattering of privacy. The posing is also a mask. In this process, the border between acting and reality is blurred and becomes irrelevant.
Cláudia Cristóvão was born in Luanda in 1973 of Portuguese parents. She has studied Communication (specializing in Film) in Universidade Nova, Lisbon, and at Roskilde University in Denmark. She has graduated in Fine Arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 2004 and is based in Amsterdam. She has exhibited in Shanghai and Amsterdam.
